Banganapalli, also called Benishan or Safeda, is a Geographical Indication-tagged mango variety from Banganapalle village in Kurnool District, Andhra Pradesh. It is one of India's largest and most beautiful mango varieties — oval-shaped with thin golden-yellow skin, completely fibre-free flesh, and an intensely sweet flavour that makes it irresistible. It holds a special place in every Telugu household.
